On November 21, 2023, at the Private Nursery and Kindergarten “Child’s World” in Siewierz, a lecture was held during which children from the kindergarten group: Pixies, Smurfs and Dots were looking for answers to the questions: How to protect animals? How to take care of them, especially in winter? How important an impact do animals and birds have on our environment?

Preschoolers brought to classes from home photos or drawings of animals they like, which arouse positive feelings in them, and those whose sight disturbs them, disgusts them, or which they do not like. They learned about different species of birds and animals. The lecture aimed to:

– arouse children’s interest in the fate of animals, especially during winter;

– developing a caring attitude towards birds and forest animals.

To sum up the activities, children in subgroups, under the supervision of preschool teachers, made bird feeders together. Beautiful works of art were created from: tree bark, autumn leaves, and wooden plywood.

The punch line of the lecture was the following: “An animal, as a living being capable of feeling suffering, is not a thing. Man owes him respect, care and protection.
